Palfinger Divests Service Body Business In North America →

The Palfinger Group announced a purchase agreement was executed with the Reading Truck Group to transfer the service body distribution and upfitting business at four locations. Reading Truck Group will assume the customer commitments and specified assets at four PalFleet sites: Council Bluffs, Iowa; Indianapolis, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky and Nashville, Tennessee. Kenworth announced today that the Bendix ESP Electronic Stability Program is now standard on new Kenworth T680 and T880 tractors. Wide Base 385 Steer Tires Now Available on Kenworth T370 with Upper Axle Ratings →

The popular Kenworth T370 just became even more versatile thanks to the availability of wide base tires for applications requiring up to 20,000-pound front axle ratings. Available in 385/65R22.5 sizes, from Bridgestone, Goodyear and Michelin, the tires were previously available only on all-wheel drive T370 steer axles with ratings up to 16,000 pounds. “These tires can now be ordered for new T370s with our heaviest non-drive front axles – rated at 16,000, 18,000 and 20,000 pounds,” said Kurt Swihart, Kenworth marketing director.  Click for more...

LA 2024 Releases $5.3B Budget; No New Stadiums Needed →

LOS ANGELES (AP) The Los Angeles bid committee for the 2024 Olympics released details of a nearly unheard-of budget plan, insisting $5.3 billion will be enough to cover both operational and infrastructure costs for an Olympics that won't need any new, permanent stadiums.
