Mack Trucks is making the job of the highway truck driver easier with the introduction of Mack Command Steer in the Mack Anthem. Mack Command Steer, the latest in driver-assist technology, will be available for order on Mack Anthem models beginning in the second quarter of 2020. Mack made the announcement at the Technology & Maintenance Council annual meeting Feb. 24-27 in Atlanta. Mack Trucks announced the launch of driver-activated Mack Over The Air updates, enabling customers to activate their software updates on their own schedule 24/7 while also improving uptime. Mack Over The Air, the OEM's remote programming solution, allows remote software updates and the setting of vehicle parameters through Mack GuardDog Connect, Mack's fully integrated telematics solution. Mack Trucks Launches Mack MD Series Medium-Duty Trucks, Invests $13M to Establish New Operation →

Mack Trucks launched the Mack MD Series of medium-duty trucks, serial production will begin in July 2020. Mack also announced a $13 million investment to establish its Roanoke Valley Operations (RVO), a new manufacturing facility in the Roanoke Valley, Va., for the production of the Mack MD Series. The project will result in the creation of 250 new jobs. J&B Pavelka Moving to a New Facility →

J&B Pavelka is scheduled to open its newest facility in March 2020. The company, founded in 1997, currently has two locations in Robstown and Houston Texas, but is slated to move one of its facilities into a much larger building (3205 Hwy 44 E. Robstown), currently with a 2,400 sq. ft. shop with 3 ½ acres moving to a shop with 20,5000 sq. ft. and 6 ½ acres. From Construction Equipment Guide... After a journey of more than 2,000 miles from New Mexico, the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree was lit in a special ceremony Dec. 4, on the Capitol's West Lawn. The tree was harvested Nov. 6 in New Mexico's Carson National Forest and transported to Washington, D.C., with a Kenworth W990 operated by Wilbanks Trucking Services in Artesia, New Mexico. Felling Trailers Inc. conducted its seventh annual online auction of an FT-3 drop deck utility trailer to benefit a non-profit organization: Children's Cancer Research Fund (CCRF). A bid of $4,500 won the online auction that closed on Oct. 5th, 2019. The bid winner was Dan Zehnder of New Berlin, Wis.
