Ohio Peterbilt officially celebrated the grand opening of its new dealership in Etna, Ohio, welcoming customers, employees, vendors and industry partners for a day of tours, networking and celebration.
Strategically located along the Interstate 70 corridor just east of Columbus, the new 82,000-sq.-ft. facility represents a significant investment in Ohio Peterbilt's future and reinforces the company's commitment to delivering industry-leading sales, parts and service support throughout Ohio and the Midwest.
Designed with both customers and employees in mind, the dealership features a 25-bay service shop; a 36,000-sq.-ft. central parts distribution center; more than 10,000 unique parts in inventory; expanded office and retail space; comfortable driver amenities; and online service scheduling. The new location is expected to employ approximately 150 team members, strengthening Ohio Peterbilt's ability to provide faster turnaround times and enhanced customer support.
“Our goal was to create more than just a dealership,” said Mike Crawford, vice president of Ohio Peterbilt. “We wanted to build a destination that delivers an exceptional experience for both our customers and our employees. Every detail of this facility was designed to improve efficiency, increase uptime and provide the level of service our customers expect while creating a workplace our employees can be proud of.”
Throughout the day, attendees toured the new facility, met with Ohio Peterbilt employees, and visited vendor exhibits showcasing the latest products and technologies for the trucking industry. Special guests Dave “Heavy D” Sparks and David “Diesel Dave” Kiley of Discovery Channel's Diesel Brothers greeted attendees.
For Ken Taylor, president of Ohio Machinery Co., the new dealership reflects the company's continued evolution and long-term commitment to its customers.
“Over the past 20 years, we've continued to evolve as a company while refining our focus on what we do best,” Taylor said. “Today, we're proud to represent the industry's leading products with the best support behind them. This investment in Etna reflects our confidence in Central Ohio, our commitment to our customers and employees, and our vision for continued growth.”
The Etna dealership was designed to maximize customer uptime by combining expanded service capacity, increased parts availability and a strategic location along one of Ohio's busiest transportation corridors. Customers now have greater access to sales, service and parts under one roof, allowing Ohio Peterbilt to better support fleets throughout the region.
The grand opening also highlighted the strong partnerships Ohio Peterbilt has built throughout the industry. Numerous manufacturers and vendor partners participated in the celebration, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with industry experts while learning about the latest products and technologies.
With its expanded capabilities, customer-focused design and long-term investment in people and infrastructure, the new Etna dealership positions Ohio Peterbilt to support the trucking industry throughout Ohio for years to come.
