Mack MD Series Trucks Begin to Roll Off Line at RVO in Preparation for Full Production →

Mack Trucks recently began initial production of its all-new Mack MD Series of medium-duty trucks at its Roanoke Valley Operations (RVO) facility in the Roanoke Valley, Va. Full production of the Mack MD Series is scheduled to begin Sept. 1, 2020. Mack announced in January it had invested $13 million to establish RVO to produce the Mack MD7, a class 7 model with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 33,000 lbs., and the Mack MD6, a Class 6 model, with a GVWR of 25,995 lbs.  Click for more...

Mack Trucks Launches Mack MD Series Medium-Duty Trucks, Invests $13M to Establish New Operation →

Mack Trucks launched the Mack MD Series of medium-duty trucks, serial production will begin in July 2020. Mack also announced a $13 million investment to establish its Roanoke Valley Operations (RVO), a new manufacturing facility in the Roanoke Valley, Va., for the production of the Mack MD Series. The project will result in the creation of 250 new jobs. Ford to Build Small-Car Factory in Mexico →

DETROIT (AP) — Ford Motor Co. plans to build a new $1.6 billion auto assembly plant in Mexico, creating about 2,800 jobs and shifting small-car production from the U.S. at a time when moving jobs south of the border has become a major issue in the U.S. presidential campaign. The company announced the plant in the San Luis Potosi state Tuesday without saying specifically what cars it will build there.  Click for more...


Excavator Falls Off Truck, Blocks Thruway Lanes Outside NYC →

(AP) - New York State Police say all northbound lanes of the Thruway in Rockland County are blocked by a construction vehicle that hit an overpass while being hauled on a flatbed tractor-trailer. Troopers on the Thruway detail say the excavator fell off the truck around 9 a.m. Wednesday after it hit the bridge carrying Hungry Hollow Road over Interstate 87 in the village of Chestnut Ridge, about 15 miles north of New York City.  Click for more...
