East Introduces Built-in Tarp Storage Boxes for Drop Deck Trailers →

East has introduced a new time saving and safety option to its drop deck trailers — an all-aluminum tarp storage box built into the floor of the upper or lower deck. This on-deck access location reduces multiple ups and downs on the trailer (lessening the chance for falls) to tarp the load, or store the tarp and tie-downs, which saves time and energy for both tasks. The tarp storage boxes are available in various depth configurations, depending on the drop at the neck and beam depth of the drop deck trailer, and can be placed in either the top deck, bottom deck or both decks.  Click for more...


Landoll Redesigns Traveling Tail →

A newly redesigned air-operated upper deck ramp is complete for Landoll Corporation’s traveling tail series. The air-operated ramp allows equipment to easily transition from the lower to upper decks on Landoll’s 900 series traveling tail trailer. Navistar To Close Garland Truck Plant →

Navistar International Corporation has announced that it intends to close its Garland, Texas, truck manufacturing operation as part of its efforts to reduce costs and optimize its manufacturing footprint. Navistar intends to cease operations at the Garland facility by the first half of 2013. Designed for increased payload versatility and better stability, East Manufacturing introduced an all-aluminum drop deck trailer with a low-slung 36 in. Felling Trailers' FT-80-3 OTR is the largest trailer ever galvanized at AZZ Galvanizing Services plant in Winsted, Minn. The customer is using the trailer to haul a variety of equipment each month of the year. Even with proper preparation and premium paint, the trailer may eventually corrode due to salt and calcium chloride exposure on roads. The Work Truck Show 2012 was held March 6 to 8, 2012, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The 47th Annual National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Convention was held in conjunction with the trade show. George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States, was the featured keynote speaker of the President’s Breakfast & 48th Annual NTEA Meeting.
